I presently teach Sunbeams. I appreciate the blogs that give me ideas for lessons. Since we are moving to a new year with new lesson manuals. I hope you find this blog helpful. Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions.
Now a couple of thoughts my lesson strategies. First, the most important thing I can do as a teacher is to help the child know they are loved, especially loved by Jesus Christ. Second, each child is different and 3 & 4 year olds need multiple activities. My classes seem to go better if I choose to have many different activities and ways to teach the lesson. Finally, I like for the children to be able to talk and participate. I like to find little ways that include things the children love. I will ask their favorite animal for the lessons animals so I can talk about those specific animal. Or I will let them share something from their week making special care to let the quiet children feel comfortable sharing.
One more thing that I will let you know as an introduction is that I like to find things from official lds.org materials. Special videos on the subject or friend articles.
